Legal & Privacy
The terms that govern your use of STREAMIO and how we handle your data.
Last updated: May 2026
1. Terms of Use
1.1 What STREAMIO is
STREAMIO is a software application — a media player. It does not provide, sell, distribute, host or transmit any television channel, movie, series, or other audiovisual content. It allows users to load and play their own playlist URLs (M3U/M3U8) or third-party service credentials (Xtream Codes API) that they have legally obtained from a third party.
1.2 User responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- The legality of any playlist URL or service credentials you load into STREAMIO.
- Compliance with the terms of service of any third-party content provider you use.
- Compliance with copyright laws and broadcasting regulations in your jurisdiction.
STREAMIO and its operators have no knowledge of, control over, or responsibility for the content you choose to play.
1.3 License
STREAMIO grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the application on a single device per Device ID. You may not redistribute, decompile, reverse-engineer, sublicense, or modify the application.
1.4 Trial period
Each new device benefits from a 7-day free trial with full features. After the trial expires, continued use requires a paid license activation.
1.5 No warranty
STREAMIO is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, compatibility with every playlist source, or the quality of streams (which depends entirely on your provider and your network).
1.6 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, STREAMIO and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the application.
2. Privacy Policy
2.1 Data we collect
STREAMIO collects only the strict minimum required to operate:
- Device ID: a randomly generated identifier specific to your device installation. Not linked to your real-world identity.
- Device User Agent: technical information (OS, app version) used for diagnostics and compatibility.
- Playlist URL or credentials: stored encrypted on our server, used only to push the playlist back to your app.
- Email address: only if you contact our support team.
2.2 What we do NOT collect
- We do not log which channels, movies or series you watch.
- We do not track your viewing time, history or preferences on our servers.
- We do not share or sell any data to advertisers, brokers or third parties.
- We do not use third-party analytics, fingerprinting or tracking pixels.
2.3 Where data is stored
All operational data is stored on servers located within the European Union, in compliance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
2.4 Your rights (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the EU, you have the right to:
- Access your data.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@streamio.tech with your Device ID. We respond within 30 days.
2.5 Cookies
The marketing website does not use any tracking cookies. Only strictly necessary functional cookies (e.g. preferences) may be used.
3. Refund Policy
3.1 7-day money-back guarantee
If, within 7 days of activating your STREAMIO license, the application does not work as expected on your device, you may request a full refund — no questions asked.
3.2 How to request a refund
Email support@streamio.tech within 7 days of purchase, including:
- Your Device ID.
- The date of purchase.
- A short description of the issue (helps us improve the app).
Refunds are processed within 5 business days through the original payment method.
3.3 Exceptions
Refund requests submitted after the 7-day window cannot be processed. STREAMIO is not responsible for issues caused by your network, your device hardware or your playlist provider.
